Our Story

Daylight Camp, also known as DLC, was established in 1968 to provide a unique and unforgettable camping experience to youth from various backgrounds and interests. Over the years, the camp has been incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to use the picturesque Camp Kinkora site, situated in the town of St-Adolphe-d'Howard. This location has become the home of countless beautiful memories for the DLC family, who have been able to immerse themselves in nature and experience the joys of sleepaway camp year after year.

It is worth mentioning that Daylight Camp is one of the four distinguished camps that are part of DCA (Camping Association and which are entirely volunteer-based. The association is committed to providing exceptional camp experiences to people from all walks of life. In addition to Daylight Camp, the other three camps that form part of the association include DFC Family Camp, Youth in Action, and Visions Camp. Each of these camps has a unique focus and provides a range of activities, including swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, music, and much more. 

DLC puts emphasis on inclusion and self reflection, curated specifically for the ages of our campers. Through our volunteer staff's dedication and hard work, DLC has created an inclusive and welcoming environment that fosters personal growth, community building, and fun. Whether you're a first-time camper or a seasoned pro, there's something for everyone!
